The morning I turned 25 I was browsing my favorite author's blog site (Paulo Coelho).
While reading his post "Character of the week" which is Maria the prostitute from his novel Eleven Minutes, One quote struck me the most:
“Considering the way the world is, one happy day is almost a miracle.”
WOW!!! It hits me right through the very core!
And all of the sudden I thought of what's going on in our beloved country, and also to the rest of the world..
Disasters, Endless Wars, Economy's decline, Hunger, Poverty, Animosity between people and countries, that's the reality of how our world is right now.. It is getting uglier as days passed, and it affects us all one way or the other. We all want change , We wait for salvation, we pray for a miracle to happen. (I do, I pray every night for at least one big miracle to happen in my life and to the world) As I've known it, a miracle is like magic! something big something grand! I've always thought that it's like a big finale of a broadway performance!
But when I read that one quote from the diary of Maria it made me realized what I've been missing all along, it made me think of how foolish Iam not see the miracles in my life...
And then flashback of all the happy days i had;
---moments wherein Iam laughing my ass off
---whenever Iam with the company of my loved ones
---the times Iam sitting in my room reading my favorite book
---those times wherein I danced like there was no tomorrow
---whenever I shop
--- when I watch movies
---listen to my music collection
---when I run every morning ( which I haven't done in the past couple of months)
---when I see my pretty niece (Charlize)
---those times when I watched my favorite artist live
---when I eat the food that i want
--- when I sleep all day
---when Iam having a good massage
--- when Iam doing nothing
---when I travel to different places
--- whenever I learn something new
--- whenever I make someone smile
--- when I meet new people
Those are just some simple things that I could recall that once made my day happy.
I know we all have that, those trivial things we experience everyday that most of the time we think it is so insignificant, but if we could just OPEN OUR CONSCIOUSNESS to the beauty of those "ordinary" moments then we would know that a Miracle is happening.
Thinking about it now, I have experienced so many miracles, and I haven't realized it... I ask myself how could I be so blind not to see this happening right before my very eyes... Good thing is, it's never too late... No No No...
WE could always look at the brighter side of things..And be grateful for the everyday miracles.
Thus I know what Iam here for, I have been chosen to spread the word...
"ONE HAPPY DAY, ONE MIRACLE!"
The fact the Iam still alive, breathing and conscious at 25... is indeed a MIRACLE!
Thank you Jesus!
